Morocco is a good country for flying for much of the year, but each season has its own character. The best time depends on what you want: calm air, mild temperatures or dramatic light.

Here is a practical guide, with the caveat that the wind on the day always has the last word.

Spring and autumn

Spring and autumn usually bring mild temperatures and pleasant air, which makes them the most comfortable seasons for most visitors. Landscapes are green in spring and the light is soft in autumn.

Summer

Summer is hot, so it is best to fly early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when the air is calmer and cooler. Midday brings stronger thermals that are better suited to experienced pilots.

Winter

Days are shorter and mountains can be cold, but clear days offer views of snow-covered peaks that are hard to forget. Dress warmly and expect more weather changes.

Time of day

Mornings and evenings are generally smoother. Your pilot chooses the best slot according to the wind, so ask us when you book.

Whatever the season, flexibility helps: if you can move your date by a day, your chances of a good flight go up.

There is no bad season, only different ones. Tell us your dates and we will suggest the best option.
